The SMS Direct Path Gateway answers the growing need for direct SMS access, providing mobile operators with SMSC independent solution that is efficient and cost effective.

HTTP APPLICATION INTERFACE

Allow programmatic SMS delivery from applications and web site scripts. Transmission of messages to the SMS Direct Path Gateway is simply via HTTP and optionally SSL. Both HTTP/1.0 and HTTP/1.1 (persistent connections) are supported.

TEXT, PICTURE AND RINGTONE TRANSMISSION

In addition to SMS in text format, supported are picture messaging, operator logo and group icon transmission. Ringtone transmission is in RTTTL format.

DISTRIBUTION LIST MANAGEMENT

Allow implementation of SMS based marketing campaigns. Large distribution lists can be uploaded on the SMS Direct Path Gateway allowing savings of incoming IP traffic.

SMS DELIVERY CONFIRMATIONS

Convenient way to check whether an SMS has indeed reached the intended recipient or not. Confirmations are returned to a callback URL, e-mail address or available on demand to the application. More

MESSAGE INDICATOR MODIFICATION

Modify the voice, fax, and e-mail message indicators on a mobile phone. Useful for unified messaging, mobile e-mail services etc. Allow to check if a mobile phone is switched on or off without making the phone user aware of the test.

BILLING

Detailed billing records (CDRs) are generated in real-time. CDRs are structured on account, on application and on protocol level, allowing integration of almost any billing model. Accounts can be billed on prepaid basis.
